Harris on the charge
Backing up from competing in last weekend’s 5 Passes Tour Cole Harris scored victory in Tinwald Cycling Club’s, 48km handicap event around the Grahams Road block on Sunday.
His effort earned Harris the Aaron Stewart Memorial Cup and for good measure fastest time honours, riding the course in 67.41.
Tony Ward is finding form at the right time of the season secured second place and time.
Alex Hooper produced his strongest ride of the season to claim third place and time spoils.
Kyra Marrett will be one to watch riding in with the scratch markers to take fourth place.
Steve Caldwell and Dave Knight fought hard to the line to round out the top six.
Special mention to junior Andree Free who led all riders in with an eye catching performance to pick up first cadet home honours.
The juniors and division 2 contested a 16km handicap event.
Louie Audeau had the final say in the charge to the line to claim the victors spoils.
Jack Hooper stormed into second place.
Third place and fastest time honours went to Jack Gorrie, riding the distance in 25.02.
Nic Dalley produced a top effort to score fourth place.
Liz Wylie will be happy with her day out, riding strongly to take bragging rites in Division 2.
Stacey Hooper took second place with Teressa Hooper securing the final podium position.
Next week the Club will contest a 60km handicap event around the Dawsons Road block.
