Gray in top form
Backing up from his previous days efforts securing a podium position in the teams longest day section of the Coast to Coast, Kyle Gray found himself on the top of the podium in Tinwald Cycling Club’s, Terrace Downs Resort, Jasama Farm, 50km handicap event on the picturesque Lake Coleridge course on Sunday.
Gray and his fellow back markers stormed through the field on the undulating course to find the front late in the race.
Gray rode the distance in 61.16, to claim fastest time honours as well.
Cole Harris continued his great seasons form with a strong ride to secure second place.
Abe O’Donnell will be pleased with his ride off the back mark to secure third place and second time.
Andrew Shepherd had the ride of the day beating all but the back markers to secure a well-earned fourth place.
Marty Cuttle put home ground advantage to good use claiming fifth place.
Arjan Hulsman rounded out the top six.
The juniors contested a 16km handicap event.
Jack Hooper went back to back securing his second win of the season with a strong ride. Jack was also rewarded for his efforts with fastest time honours, covering the distance in 30.55.
Charlotte Neal was in the thick of the finish to claim second place and time.
Carter Shepherd who was caught in the shadow of the line took the third place spoils.
Next week the Club will contest a 48km handicap event around the Graham’s Road block.
