It was a battle of the Summerfield brothers in Tinwald Cycling Club’s, Calder Stewart, 64km handicap event around the Grahams Road block on Sunday.
For the second week running Paul Summerfield had the final say to secure the victory and take home the spoils.
Don Summerfield was gallant in defeat claiming second place in a tight finish.
Ross Templeton is finding his best form leading into the final race of the season next weekend, charged into third place.
Nick Grijns will be another to watch in the coming weekend, secured fourth place.
Mark Smitheram and Neil Wylie rounded out the top six.
Scratch marker Thomas Audeau rode the course in 90.00, to record fastest time honours.
Co-markers Cole Harris and Chris Bowditch claimed second and third time.
The juniors and division 2 contested a 16km handicap event.
Charlotte Neal produced a top effort to find the front and hold on strongly to take the win.
Eliza McKenzie fresh from a successful NZ age group Track Cycling Championship’s, stormed into second place.
Carter Shepherd continued his good form, secured third place.
Louie Audeau was hot on his heels in fourth.
Fifth placegetter Kyra Marrett covered the distance in 26.07, to lift fastest time honours.
Flynn Turnbull rounded out the first half dozen.
Katherine Gorrie had the best of Division 2 to take the win.
Next Saturday, Mid-Canterbury Championship titles will be up for grabs in the final race of the season raced over 64km around the Wakanui Beach block.
